Year 5/6 Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

In recognition of the need to prepare students for a rapidly changing world, we value the rich learning experiences that integrated learning with technology brings.  The promotion and advancement of this integration ought to be core to the school's educational vision for the 21st century.  By updating the vision for learning in the school, our aim is to include the differentiation of learning, advanced through personally owned devices for all learners.  We need to equip our students with a skill set that they will require for their future endeavours.

With the School Council’s endorsement and in keeping with the school’s initiative for IT learning, as of 2024, all students In Years 5 and 6 will be encouraged to bring their own device to the school for use.  This is a wonderful opportunity for students at Clayton North Primary School to become engaged in an enriching and connected learning environment through utilising a device that they will continue to use in secondary school. Students are expected to bring their own device to school every day. You can choose between a laptop or a notebook, as long as it meets the Clayton North Primary School Device Specifications.
